Here's a little documentary about Dr Sketchy from 2009. It took the producers a while to finish it, but they finally made it. It is maybe a little out of date at this point, but it's still a great window in the past and fun to share.

It's time for another one of our beloved Salon Sessions. Starrring this time - from Brisbane/Australia

LA VIOLA VIXEN

Again we offer you a cozy venue, music, drinks, an intimate atmosphere and enough room for each guest. So join us for two and a half hours of life-drawing with an absolutely exquisite model - who will be showing a tad more skin than usual. 

The session will be on May 24th, 2012, 8pm-10:30pm (doors open 7:40pm) in our clandestine Venue at Hermannplatz.

If you are interested in joining us, simply send an email with the subject heading "Salon Session V" to drsketchyberlin@gmail.com and you get the payment information. Admission is 10 Euro. (Due to some bad experiences with no-shows at our past sessions we have to insist on prepayment again. No Refunds. Soooorry, folks. We hope you understand that...)

Due to a communication failure with our friends from the White Trash the Restaurant is already blocked on sunday Feb 26th. So we have to move to another venue for once. This means the session will take place at the KOOKABURRA COMEDY CLUB

It's vis-à-vis the WT on the other side of the street. Everything else (times, entrance etc.) stays the same!

In einer einmaligen Werkshow zeigt Dr. Sketchy's Anti Art School Berlin, Arbeiten von zwölf ausgewählten Illustratoren und Künstlern, die in den Sessions der letzten zwei Jahre entstanden sind

24 | 12 | one - Dr. Sketchy's Exhibition zeigt neben den Fotografien von Nina Zimmermann aus dem dokumentarischen Werk über Dr. Sketchy, eine Vielzahl an Skizzen und Illustrationen, deren künstlerische Palette vom Comic über Aquarell bis zur Collage reicht. Während die ausstellenden Künstler von realistischen Abbildern des Dargestellten bis hin zu provokativen Zeichnungen die Performances aufgreifen, zeigt die Fotografin Arbeiten von großer Sensibilität für das Thema und lenkt den Blick des Betrachters vorbei an den Klischees des Burlesque.

die Fotos unserer letzten Session sind inzwischen bei uns angekommen - und sie sind mal wieder großartig! Besten Dank an Frau Zimmermann für die gewohnt extraordinäre Arbeit.

Jetzt heißt es aussortieren. Puh... bis wir den Batzen auf ein Galerie-taugliches Maß eingedampft haben, könnt Ihr Euch ja schonmal an Euren eigenen Zeichnungen erfreuen. Ich habe sie alle auf unser Facebookseite hochgeladen. Viel Spaß beim durchsehen. Die Bilder der Modelle folgen dann in Kürze.
